HIGH ROLLS APPLE FESTIVAL

When: 3rd full weekend of October (Saturday 9am-5pm, Sunday 9am-4pm)

Where: High Rolls, NM Community Center (56 Cottage Row)
             [East of the U. S. 82 Tunnel, follow the signs and traffic control personnel]

-Local and other apples
-Apple products
-Over 60 art and craft vendors
-Food and drink
-Children's Activities
-Free parking or easy access parking (for a fee)
-No Admission fee!

-Sponsored by the High Rolls/Mountain Park Lions Club
-It will be the 42nd Annual Festival
-Don't forget to visit the 2009 High Rolls Cherry Festival

Attendance at the 2008 Apple Festival is estimated to be 8,000. (We charge no admission so we have no means to provide an accurate attendance number.) Proceeds from the festivals are used to further the High Rolls-Mountain Park Lion’s Club philanthropic activities. The club uses the money for the support of the High Rolls – Mountain Park Community Center. The Center is a no-cost location for senior citizens to have lunch, a place for community gatherings, and a lending library. Planning is underway for a new facility with expanded grounds and new capabilities. The club actively supports Lion’s International programs including Leader Dog, Children’s eye examination, education, community members with vision problems, diabetes programs. The club also provides the annual E. Ross Shain Scholarship for a community member who is enrolled in an accredited college or trade school.
